December Update

Posted by ChristopherWade - December 15th, 2019

Hi all! I hope everyone here is doing well.

This has been SUCH a great year for my art and Im super proud I got to take my skills to a different level. The TWoM teaser was a great foundation for learning new things and getting to practice new animation techniques. One of the best critiques I got from my animation coach back in November was to practice more realistic movements since I tend to focus on exaggerated bounces and I think that'll be helpful.

Next year I'll be focusing on:

1) Expanding the TWoM world with a webcomic perhaps with some involvement from fans ;)

2) Workin on an animatic for a pilot

3) Transitioning from Flash/Animate to Clip Studio Paint

That last one is a big one since my wife and I spend far too much cash for access to Adobe's Creative Cloud. It also means I have to actively learn Clip Studio Paint and find a compositing alternative since my workflow involves Flash > After Effects > Premiere. That'll take more work but I think the end results will help me favor animating more naturally. I still have some bad habits I need to squash if Im ever to get to the level I want to be at as an animator/creator.

Thanks so much for everyone taking such an interest in my project and even wanting to voice for any future ideas I may have. Id love to work with all of you if I can ever locked down the money. Feel free to follow the Official TWoM Twitter for updates on that project as well. You can find my personal Twitter there too.

Enjoy your holidays, everyone.
